One of the hottest spots for fashion in Japan, Harajuku is home to trendsetters in gothic, lolita, visual kei, decora, and even cosplay styles. Thanks to Gwen Stefani and others the district’s reputation as fashion hub has gained worldwide recognition. At Sakura Sunday, you can get a taste of Tokyo’s trendiest district with the Harajuku Fashion Show.
Returning for its third installment, the Harajuku Fashion Show is a collection of styles inspired by its namesake. In 2013, the designs featured come from US* U.S. member Lele Tran. Based in Old City Philadelphia, US*U.S. is an indie designer co-op.
Lele designs and creates custom dresses and menswear. Her latest project in a convertible zipper scarf, which would seem right at home on the streets of Harajuku.
