Introducing a new performer for Sakura Sunday this year, Master Nishiura. He will be introducing the traditional Japanese arts of calligraphy and Ikebana flower arranging. Born in Tokyo in 1970 to a famous ceramics family that has produced the art since 1806. he started practicing calligraphy at age seven and received a master certificate from the Shosei-kai School of Calligraphy, as well as vice grandmaster from Teshigahara School of Ikebana. Since 2004 he has exhibited his knowledge of calligraphy and ikebana in Japan and all over the world. In addition he has an MS degree in Geophysics from Ohio University.
