Tamagawa University’s famous Taiko Drum and Dance group will be back in Philadelphia for the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival on April 15th.
As one of the top-ranked taiko groups in Japan, Tamagawa’s performances have won them several awards. The group is led by Kabuki-dance master Isaburoh Hanayagi.
Tamagawa combines thundering taiko drums and traditional Japanese dance in their performances to form a spectacle perfect for all ages. With drums that will make your heart skip, dazzling costumes, and entrancing choreography, they are sure to dazzle you!
Tamagawa will perform on the Main Stage on Sakura Sunday at 10:45 am and 1:30 pm. The group will give four other performances in the Philadelphia area between April 9th and April 16th. The schedule for those performances can be found below.
